Sessions are held over a secure video platform. You will receive a link before your appointment and join from a private space using a computer, tablet, or phone with a stable internet connection.
Clinically, telehealth is comparable in effectiveness to in-person therapy for most concerns and offers the added benefit of removing travel and scheduling barriers. Many clients find they engage more consistently in therapy when it fits around real life rather than requiring a commute.
You must be physically located in Florida, California, Massachusetts, or Illinois at the time of your session. This is a licensing requirement, not a preference. If you travel out of state, sessions must be rescheduled.

Each licensed state has its own considerations for telehealth clients. Choose your state for details specific to living, working, and receiving care where you are.
Telehealth is not appropriate for immediate psychiatric or medical emergencies. If you are experiencing an immediate crisis, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Telehealth may also be less appropriate for individuals who cannot participate privately, safely, and consistently through video — for example, if you do not have access to a private space or reliable internet.
